More Medals for Bradford Mixed Martial Art

Another busy week of competition for the Bradford based Mixed Martial Arts Academy, Team Fulinkazan based in the City Centre on Sunbridge Road.

Joanne Doyle picks up a Bronze medal in the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation world championship in Bahrain. Jo who is the current European Champion, lost a close decision in the semi finals.

The rest of the team headed to Grapple Nation grappling competition in Manchester and did not come back empty handed. Hollie Rowley picked up 2 gold medals in both the GI and NOGI category, Saleem Janeral grabbed Gold in the GI category, while Robin Stern, Mohammed Ali, Davis Kaposts, Tom Appleyard and Johnny Canavan all picked up Bronze Medals.

Coach Spencer had this to say about the teams success – “What an amazing week! again we have students competing at an international level with Jo Doyle doing a fantastic job at the world championship. The guys who headed over to Manchester we obviously inspired by Jo’s achievement picking up 8 medals with only 10 students competing.

Next up for us we are in Leeds next week with 4 people fighting on the Almighty Mixed Martial Arts championship with Jabeed Rahman, Jack Temple and Jamal Raja all fighting for titles. It is Tom Mullen first fight after winning the British Title in September as well”
